3月4日，星期一【本書(shū)已在亞馬遜上架】

今天下午放學(xué)后回來(lái)時(shí)，只見(jiàn)我家的車道上有一頭母牛。真不明白它是從哪兒來(lái)的。到了房屋面前，才發(fā)現(xiàn)到處都是牛兒。

草坪上全都是，至少有二十頭！

爸爸說(shuō)，準(zhǔn)是我們幾個(gè)昨天下午慌慌張張地逃回來(lái)沒(méi)有關(guān)上柵欄門(mén)，才讓它們進(jìn)來(lái)了?？晌矣浀?，我們絕對(duì)把門(mén)關(guān)得嚴(yán)嚴(yán)實(shí)實(shí)的。千真萬(wàn)確，我們可不想要那頭公牛追進(jìn)圍場(chǎng)來(lái)。

不過(guò)，我跨過(guò)小溪到我們關(guān)馬的圍場(chǎng)去查看時(shí)，卻根本沒(méi)有一頭?！x天謝地——要不，肯定會(huì)把米粒逼瘋的。

我爸說(shuō)，牛群肯定是在下面靠近房屋的某個(gè)地方鉆進(jìn)柵欄的；可問(wèn)題在于，聯(lián)系不上鄰居馬特，不能請(qǐng)他來(lái)幫忙一起把牛群驅(qū)趕出去。我們?nèi)乙黄鹕详嚾ピ囘^(guò)，可那些牛兒在我家的草地上到處亂跑，完全不把我們放在眼里。我想，它們準(zhǔn)是很愛(ài)吃我家的青草，那真的是最好的牧草——這也就是我愛(ài)把火花帶到那兒去吃草的原因。牛兒們呀，可別吃光了啊！( 文章閱讀網(wǎng)：www.sanwen.net )

今天晚上，我站在陽(yáng)臺(tái)上，拿著電筒向下照射；只見(jiàn)一雙亮閃閃的大眼睛瞪著我——那是一頭母牛，剛好躺在屋子旁邊。爸爸擔(dān)心它們毀了我們的花園。不過(guò)還好，至少?zèng)]看見(jiàn)有任何公牛。

我家的狗兒士巴只是一個(gè)勁地對(duì)著那些牛兒“汪汪”直叫。我覺(jué)得莎可也嚇到了，不敢跑出屋子，不過(guò)這至少也阻止了他出去獵食野生動(dòng)物。

他是最聰明伶俐最逗人喜愛(ài)的貓兒，不過(guò)最近一到晚上就很淘氣。媽媽說(shuō)過(guò)，從現(xiàn)在起，天一黑就要把他鎖在屋里。

此刻，只聽(tīng)得那些牛兒“哞哞”的叫聲此起彼伏——千萬(wàn)別把我們搞得徹夜難眠?。?/p>

Monday 4 March

When we got home from school this afternoon, there was a cow in our driveway. We couldn’t work out where it had come from. But then when we got down to our house, we found there were cows everywhere.

They were all over the grass – there must have been at least 20 of them!

Dad thought we must have left the gate open yesterday afternoon and that’s how they got in. But I knew that we’d definitely shut it properly. We didn’t want to risk that bull coming in our paddock after us, that’s for sure!

But when I went over the creek to the horse paddock to check, there were no cows in there at all – thank goodness – or Millie would have gone crazy.

Dad said they must have got in through the fence somewhere down near the house. But the problem was he couldn’t get hold of Matt, our neighbor, to help him chase them out again. We all tried, but they just ran around on our grass and then pretty much ignored us. I think they love our grass. It really is the best grass – that’s why I bring Sparkle down to graze. I hope they don’t eat it all!

I shone a torch down over the balcony tonight and I could see a pair of huge eyes shining up at me. There was a cow laying down right by the house. Dad’s just worried they’ll destroy our garden. At least we couldn’t see any bulls.

Our dog Sheba keeps barking at them. And I think that Soxy is too scared to go out at all. At least that’ll stop him from trying to hunt wildlife! He’s the cutest most adorable cat you’ve ever seen, but he’s been so naughty at night time lately. Mom said that we’re going to have to lock him in after dark from now on.

I can hear those cows mooing. I hope they don’t keep us awake!
