? ? ? ?Up 主發(fā)這份紙質(zhì)老鼠籠的說明書只是為了分享一下在 JHU EI 夏校里得到的第一個任務(wù)——只用硬紙（σ>= 110g/sq m)、 橡皮筋和固體膠制作一個觸發(fā)機(jī)關(guān)后，能夠在搖晃、倒置情形下而不致使其中乒乓球（“老鼠”）掉出來的“捕鼠（球）籠”。

? ? ? ?此裝置及其說明書的制作耗時7小時。機(jī)關(guān)敏感，結(jié)構(gòu)簡單，多出使用榫卯結(jié)構(gòu)代替膠水提升結(jié)構(gòu)強(qiáng)度（但是部分結(jié)構(gòu)借鑒已有老鼠籠的設(shè)計(jì)）。并且，由于任務(wù)ddl在一天之內(nèi)，所以，這個裝置又有另一特性——很費(fèi)Up。

1.?General Design:

(1)?Fixed parts: 5 pieces of stiff paper with holes on them (at predetermined positions);

??????????????????Fixation structure of the axle;

(2)?Moving parts: 1 axle (connects the moving part with the fixed parts);

1 picec of stiff paper;

2 piece of rubber band and their fixation structure;

2.?Set up: (You should first make all the separate parts as shown in the diagram)

STEP 1:

Material: Fixed parts: (Left, right, top, bottom, back) stiff paper

?

??????Hands on: Insert the extend parts of each piece of stiff paper into the gap on each piece

of stiff paper.

?

Tips: First set up left-right and top-bottom side of the trap, then fix the back side with the whole body.

?

STEP2:

Material: Moving parts: 2 fixation structure of the rubber band

?

??????Hands on: Insert the two structure into the holes on the left and right side of the main

body of the trap.

?

Tips: Make sure half of the fixation structure is outside the main body.

?

STEP3:

Material: Moving parts: Trap’s door connection part;

??? Trap’s door;

????????????????????Glue stick;

?

Hands on: Glue the trap’s door and trap’s door connection part together.

?

Tips: For more durable design, wrap and glue a piece of thick paper around the connection.

?

STEP4:

??????Material: Moving parts: axle;

??????????????????????????glue stick;

?

??????Hands on: Fix the axle with the trap’s door together.

?

??????Tips: Position of the axle: 1 cm below the top side of trap’s door and parallel to the top side; the same method as mentioned in STEP3 for a more durable design.

STEP5:

??????Material: Fixed parts: Fixation structure of the axle.

??????Hands on: Fix the fixation structure of the axle with the left and right side of the main body.

??????

??????Tips: align the bottom side of the hole on the fixation structure of the axle with the top side of the left or right side of the main body.

STEP6:

??????Material: Hook and fix;

?

??????Hands on: Insert the fix into the hole on the hook, insert the hook and fix into the hole on the top side of the main body from inside.

STEP7:

??????Material: 2 Rubber band;

??????????????2 rubber band fixation structure;

?

??????Hands on: fix one end of the rubber band around the rubber band fixation structure on

the main body of the trap;

Fix the another end of the rubber band with trap’s door using rubber band fixation structure.

?

??????Tips:While trying to fix the rubber band on trap’s door, first let the end of the rubber band go through the hole, then insert the rubber band fixation structure into the space between the trap’s door and the rubber band.

The trap is set up, it should be?like this:

To use, hang the upper end of the hook on the end of the trap’s door connection part.
