在定語從句中case，point，situation，stage，point等做先行詞，關系副詞可以用where，但并不是特定詞，而是要結合具體語境。例如：

He was driving so fast as to get himself into a dangerous situation?where?he is likely to lose the control over his car.

千萬注意：situation, condition, state, activity, job, occasion等做先行詞后面的定語從句未必一定就是where，關鍵還是分析從句中缺什么成分，若缺主表賓，即先行詞可以在后面從句中做主表賓，此時需要選用關系代詞而不是where，而是which, that ,作賓語還可以省略。例如：

This is the job?that?he offered to me.

I wasn't clear about the situation?that?he was in at that moment.
